Two of Wands
The Two of Wands traditionally speaks to the moment when initial enthusiasm has crystallized into a plan and a decision is imminent. Mars in Aries gives the card a quality of restless confidence: the will is strong, the direction is chosen, and what remains is to take the next step outward into unfamiliar territory. It is a card of vision and personal power — the figure at this point surveys the world rather than being swept along by it — but it also carries a slight tension, the held breath between intention and action. Planning and ambition are its domains, along with the courage to want something large.
Imagery
Commonly shown as a figure standing on a terrace or battlement, holding a small globe in one hand and a staff in the other, gazing out over open sea or wide countryside. A second staff is typically fixed nearby, and the vastness of the landscape seen from the height is frequently read as the scope of what the figure is contemplating.
A reference, not a reading. This is the card on its own… a reading reads how it falls with the others.
