Knight of Pentacles
The Knight of Pentacles is traditionally the most methodical and reliable of the four knights: where the others charge or wander, this one plods — and the plodding gets things done. Fire of Earth gives the card a quality of will applied to material ends, the drive of fire disciplined into the patience and persistence that earthly accomplishment actually requires. The card speaks to thoroughness, responsibility, and a certain dogged determination that is worth more over the long term than any amount of inspiration. Its shadow is stubbornness and a resistance to change, the furrow worn too deep; but its strength is that it finishes what it starts.
Imagery
Typically depicted as an armored knight astride a heavy, still horse — often a dark or solid breed — holding a pentacle with a measured gaze. The horse's stillness and the flat, cultivated landscape are commonly read as the unhurried, earthy quality of the figure's energy: movement that is deliberate rather than impulsive.
A reference, not a reading. This is the card on its own… a reading reads how it falls with the others.
