Privacy Policy

AuLun is operated by AuLun Arcana LLC (“AuLun,” “we,” “us”), the controller of your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email info@aulun.ai.

The short version

We collect the minimum needed to run your account and give you readings. We don’t sell or share your data for advertising, and we don’t give it to anyone except the vendors that help us run the site. We don’t send your name, email, or birth details to our AI provider. You can delete your account at any time, and your personal data is deleted with it.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Email address — to create and secure your account.
• Name — only if you choose to add it, or if it comes from signing in with Apple or Google.
• Birth date and birth location — only if you use the astrology features. We use them to calculate your natal chart on our own systems; they are not sent to our AI provider.

Content you create. Your readings, saved charts, journal entries, and manifestations are stored on your account so you can return to them. You can delete them, and they are removed when you delete your account.

Information collected automatically. We use our own cookies to keep you signed in, remember your language, and run core features, and analytics cookies (with your consent) to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not collect or store your payment card details (see Payments).

How we use your information

• To create and secure your account.
• To generate your readings, charts, and the features you ask for.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the site.
• To respond when you contact us.

If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases are: performing our contract with you (your account, readings, and charts), your consent (analytics cookies and the astrology features that use your birth data), and our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and improving it). You can withdraw consent at any time.

AI-generated content

Readings and analyses are created with help from a third-party AI provider. We send only what the reading needs — the cards you draw and the topic you choose, and, for astrology, your calculated chart positions (planet signs, degrees, and aspects). We do not send your name, email, or your birth date, time, or place, and compatibility readings between friends use unlabeled charts with no names. We never use your information to train AI models.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share data only with third-party vendors that process it on our behalf to run AuLun, and only for that purpose, under contracts that require them to use it solely to provide their service to us. These cover:

• account sign-in and security;
• secure storage of your account and content;
• website hosting and delivery;
• payment processing;
• email delivery and correspondence;
• website usage analytics.

We can provide the specific providers behind these categories on request.

If you choose to connect with a friend or share a reading, horoscope, or chart, that content becomes visible to the people you choose to share it with. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of AuLun and its users.

Payments

We do not collect or store your payment card information. Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor, which collects and processes that information under its own privacy terms.

How we keep your data

Your data is held securely, encrypted in transit, with access limited to what is needed to operate the service.

Retention and deletion

We keep your personal data only as long as your account is active or as needed for the purposes described here. You can delete your account at any time from your settings, and doing so promptly deletes your personal data from our active systems. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged on our regular backup cycle. Some records may be retained where the law requires it — for example, our payment processor keeps transaction records for tax and accounting. If you joined a mailing or early-access list, you can ask us to remove you from it separately.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. You can do this in your account settings or by emailing info@aulun.ai. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

California (CCPA/CPRA). The categories of personal information we collect are identifiers (such as your email and, if provided, your name), the content you create, and internet or usage activity (from analytics). We collect these from you directly and automatically, use them only to run and improve AuLun, and do not sell or share them for cross-context behavioral advertising. We treat your birth information as sensitive personal information and use it only to calculate your charts, never to infer characteristics about you.

EEA/UK (GDPR). Where we transfer your data outside the EEA or UK to our vendors, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

AuLun isn’t directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, which may be higher), and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under that age has given us personal information, contact info@aulun.ai and we’ll delete it.

International users

AuLun is operated from the United States, and your data is processed there and by our vendors. See the EEA/UK note under Your rights for the safeguards we use for international transfers.

Changes to this policy

We’ll post any changes here and update the effective date above.
